ACADEMY

The USHCA Academy Convening is our annual team-based professional learning event where you can network and learn with other school district Human Capital teams from across the country. We know that in the next decade, education systems face major shifts in talent, driven by staffing shortages, declining enrollment, waning perceptions of the profession, new schooling models, and AI-enabled changes to teaching and work. These shifts are unfolding amid significant policy changes, adding complexity to the work of sustaining schools. Without intentional action, long-standing gaps in high-need students’ access to effective teaching and leadership may deepen. The Academy offers space to make sense of this moment, share promising strategies, and explore how to better support those at the heart of schools, no matter what comes next.
