States are Uniquely Positioned to Lead Human Capital Work

States have a unique role to play in talent management in education.  The State Human Capital Alliance is a one-year professional learning experience that networks a group of leaders from 16 states to share best practices and grapple with key state-level talent management challenges that directly impact districts’ abilities to find and keep great people.

The Alliance experience focuses on helping states take high-leverage actions that most impact educator quality through four areas of focus:

Through our work with States and Districts, we have found that States can support the strategic HC work of districts to make a profound difference in the recruitment and retention of highly effective teachers and leaders.

Principals as HC Leaders

Developing principals’ human capital management skills is critical to getting, developing, and retaining a high quality and diverse teacher workforce.  We work with districts to grow the capacity of their principals to more strategically align their school talent to the instructional vision of the school and the students it serves.  Working together with the district leadership team, we customize learning opportunities that meet the needs of your district’s principals.
